Street Cleansing Operative

The Job:
You will be supporting routine StreetScene Cleansing operations across East Devon, including bin emptying, litter picking, sweeping footpaths and channels, clearing beaches of litter and debris, and cleaning public toilets and other public buildings.
The role also involves working both individually and as part of a team, using vehicles, equipment, and plant as required to maintain high environmental standards.

About you:

• Experience in cleaning, environmental services, grounds maintenance, or similar practical work is advantageous but not essential
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work varied shifts including weekends
• Good awareness of health and safety practices
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Customer-focused approach with attention to detail
• Due to needing to travel to different sites, this role requires a valid driving license
