Maintenance Assistant

The Job:
You will be responsible for delivering and installing medical equipment at various locations across Somerset. This is a hands-on role that involves driving a company van, assembling and fitting medical beds and bed rails, and carrying out basic maintenance and installation tasks using hand and power tools.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive a company van to various locations across Somerset
• Deliver, assemble, and install medical equipment, including beds and bed rails
• Use hand and power tools such as drills and saws safely and effectively
• Ensure equipment is installed correctly and safely
• Provide a professional and courteous service when visiting customer sites
• Complete any associated paperwork and maintain company equipment and vehicles

About you:

• Previous maintenance, installation, or assembly experience is essential
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
• Good communication and customer service skills
