Food Production Operative

The Job:
To operate Food Processing machinery and equipment involved in the production of cream-based products, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery for cream manufacturing
• Monitor production processes, filling, and packaging, to ensure smooth operation
• Perform routine quality control checks
• Record production data and maintain accurate batch documentation / traceability
• Ensure all production activities comply with procedures, food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Clean and sanitise equipment, tools, and work areas before and after use
• Identify and report machinery faults
• Able to perform some PPM duties
• Follow all health and safety procedures

About you:

• Previous experience in dairy or food production
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards advantageous
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, monitor, and adjust machinery including fault identification and corrective action
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Capable of lifting
• Comfortable working in temperature-controlled environments (during summertime it can get very hot)
