Class 1 or Class 2 Skip Driver

♻️ The Job
As a Skip Driver, you’ll be responsible for collecting full skips from customer sites, transporting them safely back to the depot and delivering empty skips to designated locations.
This is a role that requires more than just driving — you’ll need to be confident operating in-cab vehicle controls and hydraulic skip-loading machinery to safely load, unload and position skips at customer sites.

Your day to day duties will include:

• Driving the vehicle throughout the local area.
• Collecting full skips from customer sites.
• Operating vehicle controls and hydraulic lifting equipment to safely load and unload skips.
• Transporting full skips safely back to the depot.
• Delivering and accurately positioning empty skips at customer locations.
• Using skip-loading machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with road safety and transport regulations.

You will need:

• Previous Class 1 or Class 2 driving experience.
• Essential – previous experience driving skip vehicles.
• Experience operating vehicle controls and skip-loading/hydraulic machinery.
• An in-date Driving Licence.
• An in-date Digital Tachograph Card.
• An in-date CPC Card.
• Either a Class 1 (Category C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• The confidence and ability to safely collect, transport and position skips at customer sites.

You’ll be working locally around the Bath area, operating specialist skip equipment and dealing with a variety of customer sites throughout your working day.
