In previous years, around Easter time Simple Recruitment have participated in many ventures to help our local communities, on more than one occasion, with the help of our clients, we have donated large quantities of Easter eggs to charities and those in need.
However, this year we wanted to take a step back and think of something a little different, and we wanted to play a small part in the teaching of our future talent pool.
At this time of year – a time of spring, new life and growth – we decided to create a tree- planting project with the next generation.
We have donated acorns (pots and instructions to plant and nurture) to preschool and nursery aged children in our local area, because as the saying goes:
‘From Little Acorns Grow Great Oaks’
We hope that the joy of planting these acorns with their schools or families and watching them grow will bring continued joy, as well as help in the reforesting our country.
Due to data protection we have decided not to post school photos. However we have had some of our employee’s children happily participating in the project.
In order left to right:
Bertie, aged 4, has enjoyed some planting over the Easter break with his Gramps.
Aiden and his big sister Indigo, aged 1 & 5, are still deciding where to plant their acorns but are looking forward to a nature walk to find a suitable spot this weekend.
Ayda, aged 4, and her Daddy have planted theirs, and are eagerly watching them daily on their window sill.
Jeremiah, aged 3, planted his acorn in his garden and is excited to watch it grow.
We can’t wait to hear about their progress!
