Refuse & Recycling Loaders

What will you be doing:

• Collect recyclables including food waste from boxes, baskets, reusable rubbish bags, caddies and other containers
• Collect waste and recyclables in wheeled bins from mini-recycling centres
• Sort recyclables into individual stillage compartments on kerbside recycling trucks, or into separate containers on vans
• Ensure the quality of recyclate, leaving contaminants behind in containers
• Educate residents by ensuring tags are left where necessary to inform of contamination
• Load refuse compaction vehicles and recycling vehicles of varying sizes, using compaction equipment as necessary
• Return bins and bags to the designated point of collection in a neat and tidy manner without causing obstruction to driveways in accordance with training
• Clear and litter and spillages, to keep streets litter free
• Use electronic mobile devices to record work & log any issues
• Resolve any complaints as directed by managers
• Operate in-cab digital technology
• Follow digital mapping system

Other bits you need to know:
An induction/training at site will need to be attended before being put into a shift. You will need to be physically fit, punctual and reliable as you will be working as part of a team.
