Company Day Out

15th Anniversary Company Day Out

Simple Recruitment officially turned 15 this year and while we’ve been doing our best to make the whole of Somerset and Wiltshire aware of it, it’s important to us to reward ourselves for the hard work and dedication that we routinely demonstrate.

We closed the office early and headed to the beautiful city of Bath to start the first of our trio of activities.

The House of Frankenstein Museum

We were greeted by our wonderful host, “Dr Cleaver” who led us to the atmospheric Bloody Mary Bar. He never mentioned exactly what type of doctor he was, but he had a fancy hat and regularly topped up our prosecco so we didn’t question him too much.

It was the first time doing an escape room for many and due to the horror theme, it was safe to say a couple of the simpletons were feeling apprehensive before going in. Everyone put their best foot forward however and put their all into trying to escape, even though only one team did. Bragging rights belong to Jayla, Mim, Netty, and David who completed the spooky puzzle in just over 45 minutes. We won’t even lie here. They have been boasting about the victory ever since.

We then had a peruse around the sensory museum which included a truly scary basement, an attic cinema as well as a full-size Frankenstein’s Monster model to name a few. For those too lazy to read, they ran straight to the roof terrace at the Hall and Woodhouse to soak up the sun with a cold beverage in hand.

We enjoyed a delicious three-course meal at Boho Marche within the Francis Hotel. A big portion of the meal was spent reminiscing over the past 15 years as well as individual experiences at Simple Recruitment. We also discussed the food (which was as lovely as it looks in the pictures below) and our celebrity crushes which included a few surprises including Sylvester Stallone and Anthony Joshua.

Boom Battle Bar

Finally, we stumbled our way to the Boom Battle Bar and did our best to bring out our inner Whitney Houston’s in the karaoke pod. We obviously failed at that but succeeded in bursting the eardrums of the poor bar staff.

Believe us, you don’t want to hear the rest!

A final thought

It was a fantastic night all around and the perfect way to celebrate Simple Recruitment’s 15th anniversary. Thank you to all those who have chosen us as their recruitment consultancy. We couldn’t have done it without you!
