Our client based in Exeter are looking for a Payroll and Bookkeeper Assistant to join their busy team.
This is a full-time permanent position with competitive salary for the right candidate.

Purpose of Role:
Reporting to one of our Business Group Partners, the two main areas you will assist
with are:
*Payroll
*Bookkeeping

Main Duties and responsibilities:
Payroll:
*To assist with administering an efficient and effective payroll service to a portfolio of clients.
*To assist with administering a wide assortment of payrolls, dealing with a variety of clients.
*To assist with maintaining all payroll records by ensuring that all records are filed in an accurate and timely manner.

Bookkeeping:
*To assist with our bookkeeping service line.
*To assist in providing a bookkeeping service on a variety of systems to include Excel spreadsheets, Sage and Quickbooks.
To provide guidance and assistance to our clients with regards to the “Making Tax Digital” initiative.
To assist in preparing VAT returns and supporting records.
