Our client based in Warminster are looking for a Commis Chef to join their team.

Within this role, you’ll be an important member of the Kitchen Brigade and a source of support to your Kitchen Manager/Head Chef or Assistant Kitchen Manager. Your main responsibility will be to assist the Kitchen Manager in delivering the menu and running all aspects of the kitchen – keeping it a safe, clean and compliant environment. You’ll use your passion and experience to exceed expectations and to showcase fantastic food.

Responsibilities:
*To be hospitable, cooperative and polite with any guests and fellow front/ back of house team members at all times
*To ensure our guests receive all food requests to correct brand specification within timeframe appropriate to dish
*To ensure your food section is constantly supplied with the full range of menu items within your section
*To cook and prepare food items within your section to brand specifications at all times
*To maintain prep levels on your section helping to avoid shortages
*To maintain a clean and tidy appearance and work in an orderly manner in line with brand standards and legal requirements
*To store food items correctly and in rotation to minimise wastage using all company labelling and dating processes
*To assist your colleagues at every opportunity ensuring good teamwork
*To adhere to all standards as outlined in Food Safety Management System and Health and Safety Worksafe System.
*To communicate in an honest and open manner
*To assist in the training of any new team members as required
*To complete cleaning duties as per cleaning rotas and instructions of Kitchen Manager/Duty Manager as required
*To notify the management team of any problems in your working area
*To carry out all assigned shift duties
*To take responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all guests, colleagues and self at all times
*To help the front of house and back of house teams and colleagues in carrying out duties to ensure an effective and efficient operation of the restaurant.
