Our client based in Wells are looking for an Assistant Head of Accounts to join their team.
They are looking for an experienced Assistant Head of Accounts with sound knowledge of the SAR to work within their established accounts team. The variety and potential in this role make it a unique proposition. They need someone who is ultimately looking for a leadership role as part of their succession plan, someone who is keen to progress in their career and can see a management position in their future.
Purpose of the role:
*Take responsibility for all of the customary legal practice finance functions including:
*The preparation of daily bank reconciliations and reports
*Assisting with bank mandates
*Checking completion statements and processing client completions
*Dealing with all invoices and supplier payments
*Dealing with ad hoc enquiries from lawyers and team members.
*You will ensure that all transactions are processed and recorded in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with SRA/AML rules. You will be just as happy to complete month and year-end routines as they are training and managing a team of legal cashiers.
Our client is looking for someone who ideally possesses a diploma in ILFM alongside :
*Open to experience levels of 3 years and above
*Confident to work without direct supervision
*Take an analytical approach to dealing with the firm’s finances, with meticulous attention to detail
*Good communication and IT skills, together with experience of working in a busy accounts department
