Our client based in Peasedown St John is looking for a Finance/Accounts Manager to join their team.
The Finance Manager will control all aspects of the company financial position and accounting requirements in agreement with the Managing Director and the overall direction of the company.
You will generate and submit month end accounts and Profit & Loss figures to the board for review.
You will also be required to control all formal returns, tax requirements, business rates and payroll for all employees.
You will manage, mentor and train the Accounts staff to fulfil the above requirements and role.
With your eye for detail you will analysis and review all costs and margins and suggest areas for improvement.
You will advise and support all other department heads as required.
*Oversee the day to day accounting requirements such as invoicing, deliveries, warranties, debtors, expenses and supplier payments
*Manage the work load of the accounts assistance’s to ensure that all tasks are correct and completed on time
*Generate month end reports for approval with MD before submitting to the board
*Generate management reports
*Review all aspects of performance and make suggestions (costs, overheads, processes, debtors, suppliers)
*Control cash flow, expenses and petty cash requirements
*Statutory submissions, Tax returns and rates
*Assist with business planning and forecasting
*Offer support and advise for all other department heads
*Attend meetings with suppliers, debtors, creditors and parent company as required (UK & Europe wide)
*Minimum 3 year’s experience working within all aspects of company accounts and financial reporting
*Good experience with statutory submission, tax returns, payroll, monthly reporting, cash flow and costs analysis
*Ideally some experience of manufacturing and producing parts to sale and export
*Some experience of internally auditing the accounts processes. Supporting external audits and accreditation requirements
*Ideally some experience with delivery and logistics contracts
*Some experience managing mentoring and training staff
*Some experience with business planning and forecasting
*CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent, qualified management accountant
*Ideally Sage and Xero conversant
*Heading up a small team and working to drive business forward under your own steam
*Willing to undertake some travel within the UK and Germany
*Able to work within the UK
*Full driving licence
You will be reporting to managing director in the UK. Also, be required to work closely with the Group Managing director and Finance Manager in Germany.
Excellent salary and bonus scheme for the right candidate There would also be a qualifying period for the bonus, the first year would be pro rata.
Hours – 40 hours per week this is a full time permanent position.
