Our client based in Peasedown St John are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to be responsible for the ongoing development and support of their products and provide technical support, service support and training to customers and representatives and the sales and production departments.

Responsibilities:

*The development of new products and the ongoing development of existing products in accordance with the company’s product development plan. This involves all aspects of a research and development project, consisting of, but not limited to, measuring engine development and testing, selection of components, product layout design (using 3D software CAD package), production of detailed software specifications, testing and fault finding, production of engineering & support documentation for existing and new products, project schedule production.
*Coordination of Hazardous Area certification for new and existing products (e.g. ATEX / IEC Ex, GOST, ETL), and worldwide standards compliance, in accordance with the company’s product development plan.
*Planning and delivery of site and remote service, commissioning and technical support to customers and representatives, both in the UK and overseas.
*Planning, production and delivery of local and remote product specific training courses to customers and representatives, both in the UK and overseas.
*Providing technical and operational support to sales and production departments
*Any other duties as assigned by the management team.

Hours of work:

37.5 hours per week
Monday – Thursday: 8am – 5pm
Friday: 8am – 11.30am
Lunch Break: 30 minutes

Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience
