Jayla was at it again at the weekend, taking part in a 116 mile cycling challenge ‘Break The Cycle’ all in aid of Bristol Rugby Community Foundation. The Rugby foundation have proven that the sport of rugby union has unique engagement qualities. This engagement gives an opportunity to make real and lasting change in some of the most ‘at risk’ young people in our Community today.
Jayla was part of ‘Team Great Britten’ and the five cyclists joined participants from across the region setting off from Bristol, Bath & Gloucester Rugby Clubs.
The challenge took the riders through undulating countryside, with some notable climbs. The 116 miles was completed in one day and saw Jayla in the saddle for almost 10 hours (not surprisingly she was a little sore the next day)!!
35,000 miles were collectively rode on Sunday. The distance around the Earth is 24,901 miles – that means together riders rode around world 1.4 times – all in aid of this brilliant charity!!
